Red Bull faces a transition year. The RB21 sits in the upper midfield on pure car metrics, a significant fall from the dominance of recent seasons, with decent straight-line speed and downforce but genuine fragility in braking stability, energy recovery, and reliability. The car is fourth on the grid. Verstappen is not. The reliability concern is not cosmetic.
