Pálya elemzés
The Hungaroring operates at the extreme high-downforce end of the F1 spectrum, with a downforce demand of 8.0 and low-speed requirement of 7.5. There are virtually no true straights, forcing teams to carry maximum wing angles that would be unthinkable at Monza or Baku. With a braking demand of 7.3, the circuit punishes setups that compromise mechanical grip for straight-line speed, and the tight, twisting layout means overtaking opportunities are almost nonexistent without a significant pace delta.
August heat compounds the technical picture significantly. Tyre degradation climbs sharply as surface temperatures exceed 50 degrees C, making compound selection and stint management critical prediction variables. The circuit rewards cars with strong single-lap aero balance in qualifying. Grid position here has an outsized influence on race result, and historically the pole sitter converts at an unusually high rate. Weight prediction toward cars that dominated in recent low-speed, high-downforce circuits rather than those with recent straight-line form.
